Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival Code of Conduct
By participating in the Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival—whether as an attendee, guest, exhibitor, speaker, creator, contractor, or volunteer—you agree to uphold and abide by this Code of Conduct. Our goal is to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for all members of our creative community.
Scope of Conduct: In-Person and Online
This Code of Conduct applies to all Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival activities, whether they take place in person or online. This includes:

Interactions on official event platforms, community forums, mobile apps, and social media channels

Live-streamed or recorded classes, panels, and webinars

Emails, direct messages, or comments between participants initiated through the event

Exhibitor and sponsor engagement via digital platforms
Harassment or inappropriate behavior in digital spaces will be treated as seriously as on-site violations and may result in removal from the platform, event access restrictions, or bans from future participation.
Expected Behavior
We expect all participants to:

Communicate respectfully, valuing diverse perspectives, identities, and experiences.

Engage with others with professionalism, courtesy, and kindness.

Silence or turn off electronic devices during sessions, classes, and presentations.

Respect personal space and boundaries at all times.

Be mindful of your surroundings, and report any concerning behavior or emergencies to event staff or security immediately.
Unacceptable Behavior
The Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival is committed to maintaining a space where all feel safe, respected, and welcome. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.

Physical, verbal, or written abuse toward any participant—including attendees, exhibitors, speakers, staff, volunteers, contractors, or service providers—before, during, or after the event.

Disruption of sessions, performances, or other event programming.

Destruction, theft, or misuse of property belonging to others or to the venue.

Display or distribution of offensive, explicit, or inappropriate content.
Harassment Policy
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for harassment of any kind. This policy applies to everyone at the event: attendees, exhibitors, speakers, guests, media, staff, volunteers, and contractors.
Harassment includes, but is not limited to:

Offensive or demeaning comments, gestures, or actions related to race, ethnicity, religion, disability, age, body size, appearance, gender identity or expression, or sexual orientation.

Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.

Non-consensual photography, filming, or recording.

Inappropriate physical contact or unwelcome sexual attention.

Persistent disruption of sessions or booth activities.
Anyone asked to stop harassing behavior is expected to comply immediately.
Reporting and Enforcement
If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please notify a staff member immediately. Staff can be identified by STAFF badges at the registration desk or throughout the venue.
Fiber+Fabric Craft Festival reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate in response to violations, including:

Verbal or written warnings

Removal from the event without refund

Ban from future events

Notification of venue security or law enforcement, if needed
Staff will work to ensure all parties feel safe and supported. We will assist with contacting security or local authorities as appropriate.
Photography & Recording
Please respect others’ privacy. Do not photograph, film, or record any individual without their explicit consent—especially during sessions, workshops, or in designated quiet zones.
Unauthorized commercial photography, including of exhibitor booths or class content, is strictly prohibited.
Substance Use Policy
Responsible alcohol consumption is permitted in designated areas during approved functions. The use of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Individuals appearing visibly intoxicated or engaging in disruptive behavior may be removed from the event.
Youth Attendance
Minors are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Guardians are responsible for ensuring that minors follow this Code of Conduct.
Exhibitor Conduct
Exhibitors are expected to engage professionally with attendees and peers. Prohibited behaviors include aggressive sales tactics, misrepresentation, or offensive booth displays. Booths must remain open and staffed during show hours unless otherwise approved by show management.

Quiet Zones / Sensory Break Areas
Designated quiet zones are available for attendees needing a sensory break or a place to decompress. Please keep conversation to a minimum in these areas and respect those using them.
