Accessibility.

We want the festival to work for everyone who comes. Here is what we can arrange in advance, and how to tell us what you need.

Tell us early

Ask, and we will sort it.

If you need something to attend comfortably, get in touch before the festival rather than on the day. The earlier we know, the more we can arrange. Nothing on this page is an exhaustive list, so please ask even if what you need is not mentioned here.

Getting here and getting around

Wheelchairs, scooters and parking.

Rentals are limited in number and need arranging ahead of time, so book before you travel rather than relying on walk-up availability.

Wheelchairs, through the venue.

The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center rents a limited number of wheelchairs directly, at $50.00 per day.

  • Payable in advance, and non-refundable
  • Book at least 7 days ahead of the day you need it
  • You complete their request form, then they send a card authorisation form and tell you where to collect it

Handled by the convention center, not by the festival. Their line is +1-847-692-2220.

Mobility scooters.

Scooters were previously offered at $100 per day on +1-847-696-2208.

Treat that rate as indicative. It is carried over from a previous edition and has not been confirmed for 2027, so check the current price and availability when you call. If you have trouble reaching anyone, contact us and we will help you chase it.

Parking and drop-off.

Being dropped at the door is often easier than parking. Taxis and rideshares pull up at the main circular drive on 5555 N. River Road, right outside the hall.

Parking rates, maps and accessible parking are published by the venue rather than by us, so check theirs for the current detail before you set off.

Anything else

Talk to a person.

Questions about the venue, getting to it, or what to expect once you are inside are best answered directly. Contact the team and we will give you a straight answer rather than a guess.
