Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) is only a few minutes from the convention center. Rosemont is one of the closest hotel and meeting districts to O'Hare in the Chicago area, so you can land and be at the festival the same morning.
The CTA Blue Line runs directly between O'Hare and the Rosemont station in under 15 minutes, and it is a short walk from the station to the convention center. Coming from downtown Chicago, take the Blue Line toward O'Hare and get off at Rosemont / River Road.
Taxi and rideshare service between O'Hare and Rosemont is plentiful, with pickup and drop-off at the main circular drive at 5555 N. River Road. Most Rosemont hotels also run a complimentary O'Hare shuttle, so ask when you book.
The Metra Rosemont station is roughly a 10-minute walk. The free Pace Route 811 Entertainment Circulator loops between the Rosemont Transit Center, Parkway Bank Park, the Fashion Outlets and the convention center.
The convention center sits at the intersection of I-90 (Kennedy Expressway) and I-294. From O'Hare take I-190 east and exit River Road south, and the center is about a block ahead. From Chicago take I-90 west toward O'Hare and exit River Road. From Indiana on I-294 north, exit Balmoral then turn left onto River Road.
Two public garages serve the center: the William Street Garage (9500 Williams Street) and the East Garage (9221 Bryn Mawr Avenue). A skybridge connects to the hall. Rates are set by the venue and change from year to year, so check the convention center visitor page before you travel.
For full transportation, parking and accessibility detail, see the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center visitor page.
Travelling as a group is a cheaper and far more fun way to do the festival. We welcome guilds, shops, travel agents and groups of friends to charter a bus and come together. Register the bus in advance and your group pays a discounted per-person rate, and we will have a greeter waiting for you when you pull in.
Registering ahead is what unlocks the group rate, and it lets us plan your arrival. Unregistered groups pay the standard per-person price at the door.
Pay ahead and your tickets are mailed before the festival. Otherwise you collect them from the bus greeter on arrival, and unused tickets can be returned for a refund after the festival.
Street parking for buses is not available near the venue. We will send designated parking arrangements with your confirmation, so plan for that rather than improvising on the day.
Once you register we email a custom group code with your discounted per-person rate, bus drop-off and parking instructions, and the date your final numbers are due.
Want to fill remaining seats? Opt in when you register and we will list your trip so other crafters in your area can join it.
2027 group rates and deadlines to be confirmed Group registration for 2027 opens with attendee ticket sales. Contact us to get on the list now and we will send the form the day it opens.
The 2027 group registration form is being prepared. Email Exhibitor Services with your group name, rough numbers and the day you plan to visit, and we will register you as soon as it opens.
Email Exhibitor Services Contact the TeamVisitors who need a letter of invitation to support a US visa application can request one from us. Email info@fiberfabriccraft.com with your full name as it appears on your passport, your company or guild if relevant, and your travel dates, and we will send a letter.
Apply early. Visa appointment waits vary a great deal by country and can run to months, so request the letter as soon as you decide to come rather than close to the festival. A letter of invitation supports an application; it does not guarantee a visa.
Rosemont's hotels, restaurants and the Fashion Outlets are all within walking distance or a short shuttle ride of the hall, so you can plan a full festival weekend without a car.
